Sorry its been a while, we've had such a hard life sourcing and choosing our new collections!
So, the look for this Spring is.... still very Vintage in ice-cream pastels tones!
Our collection from One Button features pastels and hearts strongly. Big hearts, small hearts, pink puff hearts and even padlock hearts!

Colours are pastel, pinks, peach, turquoise and lots of antique gold and silver!

New Concession

Always seem to be saying this...but its been busy, busy!!
We've just come back from setting up our new concession within The Priory Lifestyle Salon, slightly different direction for us but exciting all the same!

Its like Christmas every day for us at the moment...boxes coming out of our ears. The stunning Stone Bags and Purses are on their way to us, available to order on our website.

Busy Week!

Hi All,

Finally found 5 minutes to update you on our week!
Well, we're back from London, Britain's Next Top Model Live Show was a blast, loads of celebs, models and paps...and wannabe models at every turn!! Glad to be back, so tiring and we've hit the Christmas mania already.
Loads of Divine jewellery parties this week and a diary packed full of more to come, where will the time come from?
Orders are coming in fast and furiously, we will soon be stocking the stunning Stone Handbags with a wide range of handbags and purses.
Scarves are in abundance too, from our lovely boiled wool ones from Hem & Edge to knitted ones.

New stock and filming!!

What a week!!! Deliveries coming out of our ears this week...its like Christmas!!!
More new lines from 'One Button'...beautiful boiled wool scarves, stunning crystal range of jewellery..so exciting!!
Big news today, Marie and I have been involved with the making of a DVD for the Confederation of British Industry called 'Better Business'...soooo scary, how these people act or present in front of a camera I'll never know...think we'll pretend it got waylaid in the post..arghh!
Busy week again next week, preparing for Britain & Irelands Next Top Model...how quickly has that come round?? A few of our lovely Divine girls are taking a trip up to see us too...lovely!!
Off to unpack some more gorge stock....I lurve this time of year!!!

Britain & Irelands Next Top Model 2011

Well, its been an exciting week for Divine so far!
As we're exhibiting at this years Britain & Irelands Next Top Model Live Show at London's Excel in Octber, we've been gripped by the series. We were thrilled that Jade became this years winner and look forward to seeing her in the flesh!
We've got loads to prepare for the show, its going to be 4 exciting days in London for us and lots of celeb spotting we hope! Cameras at the ready! So many decisions, how to display our stand, what stock to take and of course...the biggest decision...what to wear!!

This week began with a plan of stock-taking, we started well, but got distracted today with more of the fab new Amari clothng range being delivered, we always try on, to give our customers help with sizing so it was very much like our own Next Top Model show...loads of lovely clothes, just without the models...just Marie and I, and Ceryl having a good ole giggle!

So, I'm afraid back to the stock-taking, where I'm obviously more suited..lol!
Other big news...our website has been updated with the start of our new collections...lots of new jewellery from the funky and quirky 'One Button', but I think this season is showing a more delicate vintage style.
Lots of lovely cotton scarves from Hem & Edge from One Button, great for that inbetween time from September til the frost start.

New Hem & Edge Scarves

Finally, managed to get the first load of photos uploaded to the website today of the new Hem & Edge Scarves from One Button. They're a great range of colours and shapes for that in between time between light and floaty scarves to snuggly and cosy ones!
Got to finish putting the rest of the Autumn jewellery on tomorrow hopefully... September is such a busy month with buying and new lines being delivered..yet I seem to say that about every month!!
In case you didn't notice on our homepage, we will shortly be stocking the lovely Lola Rose jewellery...how excited are we???

Welcome to Divine!

So, we've finally managed to get our Blog sorted...only taken us 2 years, but hey ho!!

In case you're new to Divine, them me introduce us to you!

Divine is all about its name..'Look Divine...Feel Divine', its our aim to provide you either through our shops(more about them later) or through our website, Facebook or Twitter, items of jewellery, accessories or clothing which are different, but not in a designer price tag kind of way!

Divine was set up by me, Michelle and my sister-in-law Marie, mainly because, like us all we wanted that extra bit of cash for Christmas and we were both a bit disillusioned with our professional lives. Neither of us had retail experience as such, me being previously a university lecturer and Marie, a bank manager. But we did and hopefully...still do is an eye for what we like and what we can afford!

Within a year of us trudging and lugging boxes around events and house parties, we opened our first shop, in our hometown of Porthcawl. Within 5 months, we opened our 2nd in Cardiff Bay and our 3rd in Narberth, West Wales 5 months later...do you think there's a pattern? And our most recent shop,opened 6 months after in Cardiff Airport. A few weeks ago, after the success of our Porthcawl shop, we took the huge step...of moving next door to a bigger premises...LOL!!

With nerves in tatters and having developed the astute ability to survive on a few hours sleep a night, whilst keeping healthy by living on tea and cakes...we're now gearing up for the dreaed word...CHRISTMAS!!!
